About % Transferrin Saturation Test

Transferrin test involves collecting a blood sample for measuring the Transferring level present in the blood of a person. The main objective of this test is to identify anemia caused from the deficiency of iron, especially in pregnant women. We all know that iron has a prime role in the human body i.e. to help red blood cells in carrying oxygen. Normally, the human body monitors the level of iron carefully and always tries to keep it from falling too much low or rise too much. Based on this fact, the Transferrin test provides information to your doctor about health problems caused from iron deficiency, such as anemia and chronic anemia problem.
