MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imagining) scan is used to obtain detailed pictures of the paranasal sinuses in order to identify the issues pertaining to them. Angiogram is used to study the blood flow in the arteries and veins. Symptoms that warrant an MRI of the pelvis include blood in urine and stool, vaginal bleeding during pregnancies, pelvic pain and bloating. The MRI- Angiogram is used to detect blockages and bulges i.e. the causes for interrupted flow of blood by obtaining images of the blood vessels. The MRI scan employs powerful magnets and radio waves to obtain images of the inside of the body including body parts and to identify strokes and cancerous growth. Hence, it does NOT use radiation and is completely painless.
