This syrup works via a dual mechanism and includes medicine Amoxycillin and Clavulanic Acid. It is used for the treatment of bacterial infection. Clavulanic Acid works as a beta-lactamase inhibitor by binding to beta-lactamase enzyme produced by bacterial cells, which in turn inhibits its enzymatic action and prevents beta-lactam antibiotics from being metabolized by the enzyme.
