About Alerid D Tablet

This medication is a combination of antihistamine and an alpha-1 adrenergic receptor agonist It helps in managing symptoms like runny nose, itchy or watery eyes, sneezing and hives. The medicine blocks histamine, responsible for allergic reaction in the body.

The dosage depends on your age, severity of the condition, medical history and your body’s reaction after the first dose. Your doctor should be informed about your medical history and condition. Patients who suffer from enlarged prostate or kidney disease should exercise caution while using the medication.

The common side effects of the drug are sore throat, dry mouth, tiredness and nasopharyngitis (inflammation and redness of your throat and nose). These mild side effects do not stay long, but you can consult your doctor for a solution. There are some serious side effects though, that need immediate treatment like:
