About Almox C Tablet

As a combination of two penicillin antibiotic, Almox C Tablet treats bacterial infections. It interferes with the synthesis of the cell walls in bacteria and stops it from growing. This is used to treat infections of the lungs and airways, skin, middle ear, sinuses, and the urinary tract.

It also treats conditions like tonsillitis, pneumonia, bronchitis, and gonorrhoea. This combination is made to overcome the resistance occur to any active constituent. You should not use it if you are allergic to any penicillin based antibiotic.

This medication can make birth control pills less effective, so ask your doctor about using non-hormonal birth control to prevent pregnancy during the treatment. Tell your doctor if you are breast-feeding.

To make sure this medication is safe for you, inform your doctor:

  • if you have asthma, liver or kidney disease
  • if you have mononucleosis, a history of diarrhoea caused by taking antibiotics, or food or drug allergies
  • If you are already taking any medicines

Also, when it is used against the beta-lactamase of staphylococci, the large R chain does not let the beta-lactamases to bind.
