About Ascoril D Cough Lozenges

Ascoril lozenges is a cough suppressant used for treating cough that is caused by asthma, smoking and emphysema. It affects the signals in the brain that trigger cough reflex.

Ask a doctor about using this medication if you have chronic bronchitis or emphysema. Do not use it if you are using or have used an MAO inhibitor within the past 14 days of the treatment. This medicine is not recommended for children younger than 4 years of age.

The dosage for adults and children are different depending on the intensity of the cough. The amount and frequency of the dose will be prescribed by your doctor. It is advised not to take a lower and higher amount of this medication or for longer than prescribed otherwise it will increase the risk of side effects.
