AUXITROL SOFT GELATIN CAPSULE is used to treat patients with kidney disease (renal osteodystrophy). It also helps in curing postmenopausal osteoporosis. When taken in combination with other drugs, this medicine also helps in treating plaque psoriasis. It is also helpful in reducing elevated parathyroid hormone levels.

The drug is a type of Vitamin D which helps the body to absorb calcium as well as phosphate. The drug should not be used if:

• You are allergic to any component in it.
• You have extremely high levels of calcium and Vitamin D in the body.
• You are pregnant or breastfeeding women.

This drug can be taken either with food or without. You are advised to visit a doctor if any of the side effects last for more than a week.
