About Bivastat 250Mg Injection

Bivastat 250Mg Injection is a specific and reversible direct thrombin inhibitor. It is a synthetic peptide of the drug hirudin. It inhibits clot bound and circulating thrombin and also inhibits thrombin mediated platelet activation and aggregation. Bivastat 250Mg Injection is used as an anticoagulant in patients having unstable angina and undergoing percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA).

Bivastat 250Mg Injection should be avoided if you have hypersensitivity to Bivastat 250Mg Injection or any of its component or if you are having active major bleeding. You should also avoid Bivastat 250Mg Injection if you have subacute bacterial endocarditis, severe uncontrolled hypertension, severe renal impairment, or coagulation disorders. It should also be avoided if you are pregnant or if you plan on becoming pregnant, or if you are breastfeeding.

The side effects that you may encounter while using Bivastat 250Mg Injection are slow heart rate, increased blood pressure, severe headache, shortness of breath, confusion, blurred vision, unusual bleeding, spots under the skin, decreased blood pressure, sudden numbness and weakness. You should see a doctor immediately if any of these side effects persists.

Bivastat 250Mg Injection is used only for intravenous administration and is taken as per your weight and physiological condition. The usual dosage with aspirin is 300-325mg daily but you should always consult your doctor before administering it.
