About C-Zid 1000 MG Injection

A cephalosporin antibiotic, C-Zid 1000 MG Injection is used to treat joint infections, meningitis, urinary tract infections, pneumonia, sepsis and malignant otitis externa. It classifies as a semi-synthetic, broad-spectrum antibiotic and acts especially against gram-negative infections. Administration of this medicine into the body is done by injecting it into a vein or a muscle.

Intake of C-Zid 1000 MG Injection should be avoided if –

  • You have allergy from ceftazidime or other cephalosporin class of antibiotics.
  • You are taking chloramphenicol.

C-Zid 1000 MG Injection may interact with a few medical conditions so keeping your doctor informed if you have any of these medical conditions is important:

  • If you are pregnant or planning to soon be pregnant, or breastfeeding.
  • If you are already taking any medication, dietary supplement or herbal preparation.
  • If you are taking other medicines especially amnigycosides, diuretics, chloramphenicol, or hormonal birth control pills.

    • Bone And Joint Infections

      C-Zid 1000 MG Injection cures bone and joint infections such as septic arthritis and osteomyelitis caused by Staphylococci and Streptococci species.
