Candid Mouth 1% Paint is an antifungal medication, that is used in the treatment of fungal infections in the mouth. It also helps in relieving symptoms such as burning, itching, cracking of the skin, and discomfort caused by infections. It is manufactured by Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and contains Clotrimazole (1% w/v). It has a wide spectrum and fewer side effects which make it ideal medication.

It works by binding with the inner surface of the mouth(lips and cheeks) also called mucosa, from where it is slowly released into the saliva. This syrup destroys the fungal cell membrane, therefore, killing the fungi. It is safe to use by pregnant women, though lactating mothers should consult their doctor before use. No interaction has been found with alcohol and does not cause harm to the kidneys and liver.
