About Cansoft-CL Suppository
Cansoft is a combination medicament which contains Clindamycin and Clotrimazole. It treats bacterial infections specifically vaginal infection. Do not take this medication if –
- You suffer from gastrointestinal diseases.
- You are allergic to lincosamides
- You have asthma, a liver disease, eczema, Crohn’s disease, or an intestinal disease.
- You are breastfeeding a baby.
This medicament may interact with other drugs, herbs and vitamins and alter the way the medicine works. Ensure that your doctor is aware about all your other medications before prescribing you with a dose of this medication. Cansoft is generally safe during pregnancy, but consult a doctor before taking it.

How does this medication work?
This medication belongs to the class lincosamide. It works by binding to the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome thus inhibits the protein synthesis in the bacteria and stops the growth of the bacteria. This medication also has both fungistatic and fungicidal actions. It binds to phospholipids in the fungal cell membrane and alters it''s permeability.
