- Carbox 150 MG Tablet and MHD induce CYPA3A isozymes (CYP3A4 and CYP3A5) responsible for the metabolism of dihydropyridine calcium antagonists and oral contraceptives, resulting in a lower plasma concentration of these drugs.
- Carbox 150 MG Tablet with oral contraceptives has been shown to decrease plasma concentrations of the two hormonal components, ethinyl estradiol (48% and 52%) and levonorgestrel (32% and 52%).
- Carbox 150 MG Tablet may decrease the effectiveness of these contraceptive products.
- Carbox 150 MG Tablet has been shown to lower the AUC of felodipine by 28% and verapamil produced a decrease of 20% of plasma levels of Carbox 150 MG Tablet metabolite MHD.
