About Ceflox D Drop

Ceflox D Drop is a medicine that contains a combination of drugs used to treat various types of eye and/or ear bacterial infections. This medicine even alleviates the painful symptoms associated with the infection.

The medication is an antibiotic, belongs to the class of quinolones. It is effective in managing infections that are caused by bacteria. The drops are used for treating infections of eyes or ears.

The drug inhibits the regular synthesis of bacterial DNA by obstructing the process of their cell division. Thus, it destroys the existing bacteria that are causing the infection. The drops also inhibit the growth of new bacteria.

The medication should be taken as prescribed by the doctor. Do not take an extra dose to balance out for a missed dose. Instead, just continue with the next dose. The recommended dosage for all patients is three drops of the suspension in the affected ear twice daily for seven days.

The drops may cause certain side effects like blurred vision, eye pain, redness of the eye, eye discomfort, burning or, itching of eyes, dry eye, swelling of the eyelid, fever, headache, ear pain and ear discomfort.
