About Cefpirome
Cefpirome is used for treatment of various kinds of bacterial infections. It is active against Gram-negative as well as Gram-positive bacteria including Anaerobic cocci, Bacteroides spp., Enterobacter spp., E. coli, H. influenzae, M. catarrhalis, M. morganii, Serratia spp., S. aureus, S. pneumoniae, S. pyogenes. It comes as a intravenous injection.
Adverse affects of this medicine include phlebitis, colitis, pruritus, urticaria, abdominal pain, diarrhea, vaginitis, vomiting, headache, interstitial nephritis, acute renal failure, eosinophilia, thrombophloebitis and dyspnea. In rare cases it can also lead to Pseudomembranous colitis. Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any serious side effects of taking this medicine.
