Clinagel 1% Gel

This gel is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial vaginosis. It belongs to lincosamide class of antibiotics and works by blocking bacteria from synthesising protein. The drug is a white semi solid vaginal cream.

It is advised to avoid taking this medication if –

• You suffer from gastrointestinal diseases.
• You are allergic to Clindamycin.
• You are breastfeeding a baby.

This drug belongs to the class lincosamide. It works by binding to the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome thus inhibits the protein synthesis in the bacteria and stops the growth of the bacteria.
