Clioquinol (Iodochlorhydroxyquin) is a medication that is used to treat a variety of skin diseases like eczema, including those caused by a bacterial or a fungal infection, such as athlete’s foot, jock itch, or ringworm. It is commonly used in combination with hydrocortisone. While Clioquinol (Iodochlorhydroxyquin) is an antibiotic that prevents the growth of bacteria or fungi, hydrocortisone reduces the swelling, itching and redness of the affected area of the skin.
