About Corlide Depot 3.75mg Injection

Leuprorelin also known as leuprolide is a type of hormone used to treat breast cancer, prostate cancer, uterine fibroids, endometriosis and early puberty.Usually given by injection into a muscle or under the skin.

Uses:Used for precocious puberty in both males and females, and prevent premature ovulation in cycles of controlled ovarian stimulation for in vitro fertilization.It may be used for estrogen-dependent conditions such as endometriosis or uterine fibroids.It is considered a possible treatment for paraphilias (medical condition in which a person gets sexually aroused generally involving nonhuman objects.Also has been tested as a treatment for reducing sexual urges in pedophiles (a person who is sexually attracted to children.) and other cases of paraphilia.This medication may be used to delay puberty in transgender youth along with other medications until they are old enough to begin hormone replacement therapy.They are also sometimes used as superior alternatives to anti-androgen like spironolactone and cyproterone acetate for suppressing testosterone production in trans women.

Side effects: Redness,burning, stinging and pain at the site of injection. Also hot flashes, increased sweating, night sweats, tiredness, headache, upset stomach, nausea, diarrhea, constipation, breast swelling or tiredness; headache, acne, reduced sexual interest, vaginal discomfort including dryness, itching and discharge; vaginal bleeding; increased urination at night; dizziness; weakness; skin redness
