Cremaffin Plus Syrup

Cremaffin Plus Syrup is a laxative used to treat constipation in different conditions. Some health issues including piles, anal fissure, hernia, cardiovascular disorder, endoscopy, pre- or post-operative stage, bowel clearance before radioscopy etc. are associated with constipation.

This syrup is much-needed in such cases which helps to stimulate bowel movements and provides relief from constipation. Cremaffin Plus Syrup is a combination drug consisting of liquid paraffin, Milk of Magnesia and sodium picosulphate.

Liquid paraffin acts as a lubricant which lubricates the bowels and facilitates an easier movement of the stools. Milk of Magnesia draws water into the intestine, thus creating an osmotic gradient causing evacuation of bowels.

The function of Sodium picosulphate is to prevent water absorption in the colon, thereby enhancing propulsion activity of the same. Cremaffin Plus Syrup should be consumed in a recommended dosage under the supervision of a doctor.

Certain side effects which can be observed after having the syrup include diarrhoea, abdominal discomfort, stomach cramps etc. Though these side effects resolve themselves over a period of time, one should consult the treating physician regarding their occurrence.
