About Cyra 20 MG Tablet
This tablet is a proton inhibitor drug that is used in treatment of digestive conditions like acid reflux, heartburn, stomach ulcers, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, gastroesophageal reflux disease and ulcers caused by a bacteria called Helicobacter pylori.
Acid reflux occurs when your stomach produces an excess of acid. This drug works by countering this process effectively. A proton pump inhibitor blocks the pump in your stomach wall that secretes stomach acids. Therefore, it reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach. In this way, this tablet acts by treating the symptoms of heartburn, acidity, neutralizing stomach acids and protecting the esophagus from damage.

This tablet contains rabeprazole which is a proton pump inhibitor drug and binds to H+/K+-exchanging ATPase in gastric parietal cells, resulting in blockage of acid secretion.

Whenever you take more than one medicine, or mix it with certain foods or beverages, you"re at risk of a drug interaction.

Interaction with Alcohol
Ethanol
Avoid using alcohol while taking this medicine. Symptoms such as prolonged weakness and muscle pain, lack of sleep, breathing difficulties after alcohol intake should be reported to the doctor immediately.Interaction with Medicine
Iodinated Contrast Media
Discontinue the usage of this medicine at least 48 hours prior to the intake of Iodinated Contrast media. Inform the doctor about Metformin use so that it can be temporarily discontinued.Gatifloxacin
