About Deriphyllin Retard 300 Tablet

Deriphyllin Retard 300 Tablet is prescribed to patients who suffer from conditions like acute or chronic respiratory conditions and experience asthma, difficulty in breathing, wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, breathlessness, whooping cough and several other conditions.

The tablet is manufactured by Zydus Cadila and contains the medicine Etofylline and Theophylline. The recommended dose for the drug is 300 or 600 mg once a day in the morning or evening.

A doctor’s prescription is not required to get this medicine and it can be obtained from any drug store. Deriphyllin Retard 300 Tablet helps the patient by relieving them of most of the above-mentioned symptoms, majorly by improving the flow of air in the air passages and reducing the difficulties faced while breathing.

The primary working principle of the tablet is to inhibit the phosphodiesterase enzymes in the body, and in turn, by relaxing muscles & opening air passages, resulting in easy breathing.

If you are smoking when dosage is prescribed; inform prescriber if you stop smoking (dosage may need to be adjusted to prevent toxicity).

Preferable to take on empty stomach (1 hour before or 2 hours after meals), with a full glass of water. Do not chew of crush sustained release forms; capsules may be opened and contents sprinkled on soft food (do not chew beads).
