How does this medication work?
This cream is a potent glucocorticoid with minimal mineralocorticoid action. Gentamicin belongs to the class aminoglycosides. It works by binding to the 30S subunit of the bacterial ribosomes thus inhibits the protein synthesis in the bacteria and stops the growth of the bacteria. Zinc Sulfate is an antiseptic.
