About Dipsalic F Ointment

Dipsalic F ointment is a medication used to treat multiple skin conditions. The highly potent corticosteroid is a very strong medicine, making it important that you stick to the dosages mentioned in prescription. The medication can be used for the treatment of diseases like eczema, allergic reactions, dermatitis, psoriasis and other rashes.

It can treat a few autoimmune diseases like vitiligo, alopecia areata, lichen planus and lichen sclerosus. The ointment activates the phospholipase A2 inhibitors, which stops the synthesis of proteins.

This helps in stopping the production of bacteria and thus alleviates your problems. It is advised that you should not consume the tablet if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. People with skin infections, pregnant or the women trying for a child and breastfeeding women must tell the doctor about the conditions before starting with the medication.

    How does this medication work?

    This ointment contains Clobetasol and Salicylic Acid which belongs to corticosteroids and a keratolytic group of drugs. The latter drug works by breaking down keratin clumps and further remove dead skin cells and softens the skin. Also, it increases the Clobetasol absorption into the skin.
