About Doc -DR 100mg/10mg Tablet

Doc -DR 100mg/10mg Tablet is an antibiotic medicine. It is primarily used to treat infections of lungs and reproductive organs (some sexually transmitted diseases). This drug may also be used as part of combination therapy to treat severe acne and to prevent malaria.

This medication belongs to a class of medications called tetracyclines which block a bacterial protein from being made and therefore prevents the growth of bacteria. It is also used to treat bacterial infections which include intestinal infections, skin infections, eye infections, urinary tract infections, respiratory infections, and others.

Common side effects include diarrhoea, a red rash, nausea, vomiting, flue symptoms, skin allergies and an increased risk of a sunburn. In young children and pregnant women it may result in permanent problems with teeth and bone development. It is considered safe in people who are breastfeeding.

    Doc -DR 100mg/10mg Tablet is a synthetic tetracycline with antimicrobial properties. It binds to the 30S ribosomal subunit and thus prevents the binding of minoacyl-tRNA to the mRNA-ribosome complex which in turn prevents protein synthesis in the bacterium.
