About Domstal Baby Oral Drops

Domstal Baby Oral Drops fall under the category of dopamine antagonists and are essentially used to prevent vomiting and nausea in children.

The reason why it is so effective when it comes to preventing nausea and vomiting is because it functions by tightening the muscles present at the beginning of the GI tract and loosening the ones at the end.

As a result, the process of passing food along the digestive system becomes significantly faster. Furthermore, this medicine also inhibits the vomiting centre of the brain, due to which the feeling of nausea also passes.

Domstal baby drops are available in the form of liquid dosage form and must only be taken orally. In general, the medication should be taken at least 15-30 minutes before eating your meal and this is because it has to help the food get digested faster.

You should ensure that you only take the correct dose, as prescribed by your doctor, as an overdose can lead to dizziness, weakness and losing control or balance. If you feel this medication does not help you, do not increase the dose on your own. Speak to your doctor about it instead.

The action of this medication helps to speed up the passing of the food that you intake - from your stomach to your intestine, reducing the feeling of nausea and sickness, also preventing vomiting.

This medicine also works by blocking or reducing the stimulation in the ‘vomiting centre’ of your brain, which will eventually reduce the feeling of nausea and vomiting. The possible side effects of taking this medication can be nausea, dryness in mouth, indigestion, sleepiness or weight gain.
