This medication is used for the prevention of pregnancy. It also acts as emergency contraception. The medication is composed of Levonorgestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol. Duoluton prevents the fertilization of the egg with the sperm and also brings changes in the hormonal levels so as to prevent the pregnancy.

This tablet is contraindicated if you have abnormal vaginal bleeding, breast cancer, stroke or liver disease. Use of this medicine is not at all suggested if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy in the future. Breastfeeding women should also avoid using this medication.
