About Envas 10 MG Tablet

An angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, Envas 10 MG Tablet helps in the treatment of hypertension, also known as high blood pressure, both in adults as well as children above a month old. The drug also effectively treats adults with congestive heart failure. Moreover, it is prescribed to patients with ventricle disorder. This disorder can affect the hearts capacity of pumping blood to other parts of the body.

A few facts about the drug should be established before use. For instance the drug is not meant for consumption by pregnant women. If you are taking the drug and become pregnant, discontinue it after informing your doctor. The drug is not meant for breastfeeding mothers as well, because it can harm the child. Thus new mothers on Envas 10 MG Tablet are discouraged from nursing their child. It should also be avoided if you have angioedema or are allergic to ACE inhibitors. If you are suffering from health conditions like diabetes or kidney problems do not take the drug in combination with aliskiren. It is best to inform the doctor about any history of stroke or blood clot as well as instances of electrolyte imbalance.

    • Congestive Heart Failure (Chf)

      Envas 10 MG Tablet is used in the treatment of congestive heart failure which is a type of heart disease, charecterized by thickening of the walls of the left ventricle.

    • Left Ventricular Dysfunction

      Envas 10 MG Tablet is used in the treatment of left ventricular dysfunction, which is a type of heart disease that lowers the pumping capacity of the heart.

    How does this medication work?

    This medication works by inhibiting an enzyme called angiotensin-converting enzyme which results in decreased plasma angiotensin II and decreased aldosterone secretion. Thus prevents the blood vessel constriction, water reabsorption and helps in lowering the blood pressure.

        Corticosteroids

        The desired effect of Envas 10 MG Tablet will not be obtained if these medicines are taken together. This interaction is more likely to happen if dexamethasone is taken for more than 1 week. Inform the doctor if you have a sudden weight gain, swelling of hands and feet. If coadministration is needed then suitable dose adjustments are to be made under the doctor's supervision. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and kidney function tests are to be performed.

        Aliskiren

        Use of these medicines is not recommended especially in the elderly population with diabetes and kidney disease with CrCl less than 60 ml/min. You experience weakness, confusion, and irregular heartbeat if these medicines are taken together. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and kidney function tests are to be performed. An alternate medicine should be considered under the doctor's supervision.

        Insulin

        The effect of insulin will increase if these medicines are taken together. You may experience dizziness, headache, sweating if these medicines are taken together. Regular monitoring of blood glucose levels is needed. Suitable dose adjustments or an alternate medicine should be considered under the doctor's supervision.

        Diclofenac

        The desired effect of Envas 10 MG Tablet will not be obtained if these medicines are taken together. The risk of kidney impairment will increase if these medicines are taken together especially in elderly population or having pre-existing kidney disease. Inform the doctor if you have an increased or decreased urination and unexplained weight gain or weight loss. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and kidney function tests are to be performed.

        Envas 10 MG Tablet is not recommended in patients with a history of Angioedema or a family history of Angioedema. Any symptoms of swelling of face, lips, and eyes should be informed to the doctor. If necessary, an alternate medicine should be considered based on the clinical condition.
