About Etova-MR 400/4 Tablet

Etova-MR 400/4 Tablet is primarily prescribed For the treatment of patients with acute painful musculoskeletal conditions. This medicine is a combination of Etodolac, and Thiocolchicoside, and acts as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and derivative of glucoside.

It thus reduces hormone levels that may lead to inflammation and pain. This medicine can treat mild and even moderate pain caused by conditions like osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

The medicine should be taken precisely as it has been prescribed. Meant for oral consumption, Etova-MR 400/4 Tablet should be taken whole. Do not chew or crush it as it may reduce its effect on the body.

The medicine will take about 2 weeks to start functioning effectively. It is best that you do not stop the medication mid-course as the pain may reoccur. Complete the entire treatment course for the best results.

When it comes to storage, ensure the drug is kept in a clean and dry place at about room temperature. The bottle cap should be firmly closed when you are not using medicine.

    How does this medication work?

    This medication is a combination of Etodolac and Thiocolchicoside. These two falls under the category of a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and glucoside derivative respectively, which can be used for pain relief, swelling, inflammation and stiffness caused by arthritis or injury.

    The medicine works decreasing prostaglandins in the body which are responsible for pain, fever and tenderness. It also has a high affinity for g-aminobutyric acid receptors. It activates GABA pathways and acts on the muscular contractures.

        Etova has negative interactions with antacids, amiodarone, atazanavir, ciprofloxacin, clarithromycin, bisoprolol, aluminium hydroxide and oxide, amprenavir and aprepitant.

        Etova can have certain interactions with diseases. Patients suffering from liver disease, or having a history of liver disease should only take this pill under expert supervision. This rule applies to patients with liver tumors as well. This is because Naxdom 500 can make the symptoms worse. Similarly, patients suffering from chronic kidney disease or renal problems should also exercise extreme caution when taking Naxdom 500. This is because it can heighten the symptoms. Women who are taking Naxdom 500 for menstrual cramps should not take more than 3 pills in as many days.
