Faldp Capsule
About Faldp Capsule
Faldp Capsule is used to treat and improve the condition of people suffering from malaria and is a type of antimalarial . It is a bisquinoline that was first developed in the 1960s and was used in China and also in Indo-China as a type of prophylaxis and for treatment over a period of the next 20 years.
There was a decline in its usage in the 1980s as artemisinin-based antimalarials came into being. Research is going on if it can be used by combining it with artemisinin. In recent times this medication and dihydroartemisinin were developed and used in combination with each other. It replaced the use of chloroquine in China for the treatment of falciparum malaria in the late 1970s.
This medication works by chemically interfering with the intraparasitic heme detoxification that prevents the dimerization process. It then leads to the formation of a malarial pigment known as hemozoin.
