Frevent Syrup

Frevent Syrup helps in treating difficulty in breathing, asthma and other such conditions. It improves the patient's condition by inhibiting the phosphodiesterase enzymes in the body. Some side effects of this medication include nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia, anorexia, abdominal pain and sweating.

It is recommended to consult your doctor before taking this medication if you have ulcers, overactive thyroid, heart disease, high blood pressure or liver disease. Frevent Syrup is an ethyl salt which is a theophylline analog. It has antiasthmatic and bronchodilator properties and is used for treating asthma, shortness of breath and chest tightness especially in newborns. It works by preventing phosphodiesterase enzymes which in turn causes bronchodilation, cardiac stimulation and vasodilation thereby relaxing muscles and opening air passages.
