Gabapin Me Tablet

This is a combination medication which has Gabapentin and Methylcobalamin as active ingredients. It is a prescriptive drug primarily used to prevent seizures. This belongs to a class of drugs called anticonvulsants. Aside from seizures, this tablet is also used to cure hot flashes, restless legs syndrome (RLS) and postherpetic neuralgia. Gabapin treats nerve pain in adults by affecting the chemicals and nerve responsible for these pains and seizures.

Serious side-effects may include anger, restlessness, insomnia, skin rashes, etc. An allergic reaction to this medication called anticonvulsant hypersensitivity syndrome can be fatal. Before taking this medication inform your doctor of the following conditions mentioned below:

This medication works by binding to the calcium channels and increases the concentration of GABA and reduces the release of monoamine neurotransmitters, thus reduces the excitability of brain cells and helps to treat convulsions. It also acts as a cofactor for enzyme methionine synthase, which transfers methyl groups for the regeneration of methionine from homocysteine.
