About Gabator NT 400mg/10mg Tablet

It is a prescriptive drug primarily used to prevent neuropathic pain. This is a combination of medication that has Gabapentin and Nortriptyline as active ingredients. Also, this medication treats nerve pain in adults by affecting the chemicals and nerves responsible for these pains and seizures.

    How does this medication work?

    This medication belongs to GABA analog. It works by binding to the calcium channels and increases the concentration of GABA and reduces the release of monoamine neurotransmitters, thus reduces the excitability of brain cells and helps to treat convulsions. Nortriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant that blocks the norepinephrine presynaptic receptors which in turn inhibits norepinephrine reuptake. This raises its concentration in the synaptic clefts of the CNS. It also blocks the reuptake of serotonin at the neuronal membrane.
