This is a combination medication which has Sumatriptan and Naproxen as active ingredients. It is a synthetic medication belonging to the triptan class of drugs. This medication is used for treating cluster headaches and migraine. It works by narrowing the blood vessels in the brain which relieves headaches.
Do not have this tablet if you are allergic to it if you have a history of heart problems, a blood vessel disease, high blood pressure or liver problems. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding and if you are taking other medications.

How does this medication work?
This medication belongs to the class of serotonin agonist. It works by acting on the serotonin receptors which are present in the blood vessels. This causes the blood vessels to constrict. It acts as an inhibitor of the actions of the trigeminal nerve, thereby reducing the symptoms of migraine. Naproxen is NSAIDs (Non-Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drug) that inhibit prostaglandin synthesis by non selectively impeding the COX -1 And COX -2 enzymes. This helps in alleviating inflammation, as prostaglandin is a regulator for inflammation in muscles.
