About Intaspas Tablet

Meftal Spas tablet is primarily used to treat muscle cramps caused during menstruation in women. Patients who suffer from colicky pain due to intestinal, biliary, ureteric colic and women having extreme menstrual pain can consume Meftal Spas medicine.

It is a composition of two medicine, Dicyclomine and Mefenamic Acid that helps by inhibiting sudden muscle contractions, to provide relief from cramps, pain, bloating and discomfort during menstruation.

Apart from this, Meftal Tab is also helpful in managing pain associated due to any jerk or movement in intestine, gall duct and urinary tract. It relieves pain caused in women during menstrual cycle by relaxing the muscles of the stomach, thus reducing the symptoms of stomach cramping.

It is advisable that people with a history of glaucoma, enlarged prostate, high blood pressure, myasthenia gravis, liver, heart, kidney or thyroid problems consult a doctor before taking medicine. Furthermore, it is strictly advisable that pregnant women and breastfeeding women must not consume Meftal tablets.

Meftal Spas causes side effects like dizziness, dry eyes, weakness, blurred vision, bloating and dry mouth. Irregular heartbeat, decreased sexual ability, loss of coordination, improper functioning of bladder and slurred speech. Therefore, it is important that you take the Meftal medicine only when prescribed and that too in accurate dosage.

        This medication may prolong prothrombin time. Therefore, when the drug is administered to patients receiving oral anticoagulant drugs, frequent monitoring of prothrombin time is necessary. A false-positive reaction for urinary bile, using the diazo tablet test, may result after mefenamic acid administration. If biliuria is suspected, other diagnostic procedures, such as the Harrison spot test, should be performed.
