Ketanov Injection

This injection is a non-steroidal and anti-inflammatory drug. It is used in the treatment of moderate to severe pain post-surgery or after any other medical procedure. This medication functions by prohibiting certain substances in the body.

  Blurring of vision may occur on instillation of eye drops. Caution is advised when driving or operating machinery.

  This injection is CONTRAINDICATED in patients with advanced renal impairment .

• Does this affect liver function?

  There is no interaction between liver impairment and consuming this drug. So dose alteration is not needed.

• Are there any missed dose instructions?

  Missed dose should be taken as soon as possible. Skip the missed dose if it is almost the time for next scheduled dose.

• Are there any overdose instructions?

  Doctor consultation is recommended if an overdose is suspected.

This injection is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with analgesic and antipyretic properties. It works by inhibiting the enzymes cylooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and cylooxygenase-2 (COX-2). This prevents the synthesis of prostaglandins from arachidonic acid which leads to a blockage of pain impulses.
