About Kz 2% Soap

This soap helps in the treatment of fungal and yeast infections of the body. It belongs to the drug group known as azole antifungals. The medication prevents the growth of various types of fungi by disrupting the production of the membranes that surround the fungal cells.

    How does this medication work?

    Kz soap is an antifungal. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol which is an important component of the fungi cell membrane by inhibiting cytochrome P-450 dependent enzyme lanosterol 14α-demethylase responsible for the conversion of lanosterol to ergosterol, thus helps in inhibiting the growth of the organism.

      • Interaction with Alcohol

        Ethanol

        Consumption of alcohol is not recommended if you are taking this medicine. It may increase the risk of dizziness and fainting. Avoid performing activities that need mental alertness like operating machinery or driving a vehicle.
      • Interaction with Medicine

        Alprazolam

        Report the usage of either of the drugs to the doctor so that suitable dosage adjustments can be suggested. Monitoring of blood levels might be required in some cases. Symptoms like drowsiness and difficulty in breathing should be reported immediately to the doctor.

        Cisapride

        Erythromycin
