About Lowcap 40 MG Injection
Lowcap 40 MG Injection is primarily used for the prevention of deep vein thrombosis following hip or knee replacement surgery or abdominal surgery in patients at risk for thromboembolic complications.
It is also used for inpatient treatment of acute deep vein thrombosis with and without pulmonary embolism when administered in conjunction with warfarin sodium; outpatient treatment of acute deep vein thrombosis without pulmonary embolism when administered in conjunction with warfarin sodium.
Lowcap 40 MG Injection is also helpful in the prevention of ischemic complications of unstable angina and non-Q wave myocardial infarction (when administered with aspirin).
Lowcap 40 MG Injection is used for thinning your blood and preventing the formation of clots. It is generally used if you are recuperating at home after a stomach, knee or hip surgery when it is difficult for you to move around.
This drug is available in solution form which is injected in your body. While injecting this drug, it may result in a bruise and pain in area where it is being injected initially.
The dosage depends on your age, general health condition and the reaction of your body to the first dose. Ensure that you do not stop taking the medicine abruptly as that would increase the risk of getting a blood clot.
This drug can only be administered by injection. You may have a tendency to bleed easily while taking this drug; brush teeth with soft brush, floss with waxed floss, use electric razor, avoid scissors or sharp knives, and potentially harmful activities.
