About Lumerax 80mg/480mg Tablet
Lumerax tablet is a combination of two drugs namely, Artemether and Lumefantrine. It is an antimalarial agent and is used to treat non- severe malaria where some other kinds of antimalarial medications become ineffective.
It should not be used to prevent malaria or by patients suffering from complicated malaria. It is used to treat adults and the children weighing at least 5 kg.
Some may experience hives, wheezing, weight loss etc as side effects. If any side effect becomes severe or last long, it is advised to inform the doctor immediately. Allergy to any medicine must be informed to the doctor prior to taking this medicine.
Patients suffering from or have a history of kidney, liver, heart impairment should take this medicine with caution as it may worsen the condition. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should avoid taking this medicine.
