About Luprex 50 MG Syrup

Belonging to a group of medicines called macrolide, Luprex 50 MG Syrup is used to prevent and treat bacterial infection of the urinary tract and inner layers of the skin. It also helps in treating respiratory infections from both upper and lower airways, such as otitis, sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis and pneumonia. Luprex 50 MG Syrup prevents bacteria from growing and by interfering with their protein synthesis.

Luprex 50 MG Syrup can also cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Most common side effects are gastrointestinal, diarrhoea, nausea, abdominal pain and vomiting. Less common side effects include central or peripheral nervous system events such as headaches, dizziness, vertigo, and also rashes, abnormal liver function values and alteration in senses of smell and taste.

The dosage of Luprex 50 MG Syrup will depend on factors like age, the condition, severity and whether or not you have other medical problems. The effect of this Luprex 50 MG Syrup can be observed within 1-2 hours of oral administration and lasts for an average duration of 12 hours. Overdose of medication may cause weakness and dizziness.

      Luprex 50 MG Syrup is used to prevent and treat bacterial infections of the throat and airways. Common symptoms may include a sore throat and difficulty in swallowing.

    • Tonsilitis

      Luprex 50 MG Syrup cures bacterial infection of the tonsils.

    • Sinusitis

      Luprex 50 MG Syrup is used to prevent and treat bacterial infections of the sinuses present behind the nose.

    • Acute Bronchitis

      Luprex 50 MG Syrup is used to prevent and treat bacterial infection of the airways leading to the lung. It is also used to treat chronic bacterial infections especially when the symptoms get worse.

    • Pneumonia

      Luprex 50 MG Syrup bacterial infections of the lungs. Symptoms of this condition may include high fever, tiredness, headache etc.

    • Skin And Soft Tissue Infections

      Luprex 50 MG Syrup is used to cure bacterial infections of the skin and soft tissue beneath the skin. Symptoms may include red and painful hair base, fever and chills etc.

    • Infections Of Urinary Tract

      Luprex 50 MG Syrup is used for the treatment of infection of the urinary tract given that it is not caused by Gonococcal strain of the bacteria.

    • Impetigo

      Luprex 50 MG Syrup is also used to treat bacterial infection of the skin characterized by red and painful sores on the skin around nose and mouth.

    • Allergy

      Luprex 50 MG Syrup is not recommended for use if you have a history of allergy to it or any other component of the medicine.

    • Ergot alkaloids

      Luprex 50 MG Syrup is not recommended for use along with medicines containing ergot alkaloids. These ergot medicines are used to treat migraine headaches in most cases.

    • Liver Disease

      Luprex 50 MG Syrup is not recommended for use if you have a severe liver disease or the liver function is severely impaired.
