About Melapik Cream
Melapik is used to treat Melasma. This medication acts as a skin-bleaching agent and works by inhibiting an enzyme reaction in the applied skin cells. Before using this cream, discuss with your doctor about your medical history, especially if you have other skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis.
Do not use the cream, if you have had allergic reactions to it. It is recommended to apply this cream to the affected areas of skin, generally twice every day or as directed by your doctor. Avoid its contact with your eyes, nose or mouth. Avoid tanning booths, prolonged sun exposure and sunlamps. Use this medicament regularly to get the most benefit from it.

How does this medication work?
This medication is a skin lightening agent for topical application which inhibits tyrosinase enzyme, which is an important enzyme in the biosynthesis of melanin pigments. Inhibition of tyrosinase thus inhibits production of melanin pigments, leading to skin lightening.
