About Natrilix 2.5Mg Tablet

Natrilix 2.5Mg Tablet is helpful in treating high blood pressure. It is also used in combination with other medications to treat hypertension. As it belongs to the diuretic class, it is also prescribed to treat swelling.

This medication works by influencing the elimination of salt and water by the kidney in immense amounts. Chances of heart attacks/strokes and kidney disorders are reduced if the patient is prescribed with this medicine.

It acts by blocking the activity of proteins KCNQ1 and KCNE1 which inhibits the delayed rectifier potassium current slow component (IKs) without affecting the rapid component (IKr). It also stimulates vasodilator prostaglandin PGE2 synthesis.
