About Norflox Tz Tablet

Norflox Tz Tablet is used for certain bacterial infections or allergic reactions and belongs to the class of quinolone antibiotics. It works by inhibiting the growth of bacteria. This antibiotic medication is not useful in treating viral infections (such as common cold, flu). It helps in the treatment of diarrhea and dysentery.

The medicine do not help in treatment of viral infections. Norflox Tz Tablet contains norfloxacin and tinidazole as active ingredients, which help in inhibiting bacterial reproduction and thus stop the infection from spreading. Some of the major uses of Norflox Tz Tablet are:

  • Bacterial Infections
  • Dysentery
  • Diarrhea

You need to take the tablet orally and make sure that you eat it after a meal if you experience frequent stomach aches. You should stick to the dosage mentioned in the prescription, as the effect of the dose can take a hit if you do not consume it in a particular manner.

It also works as a bactericidal by inhibiting the bacterial DNA gyrase enzyme, which is essential for DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination. This leads to expansion and destabilization of the bacterial DNA and causes cell death. Once the medicine is taken, it produces lactic acid in the intestine thereby preventing pathogens or bad bacteria from entering and growing. The lactic acid produced by Lactobacillus helps in restoring gastro-intestinal health.
