About Novonorm 2Mg Tablet

Novonorm 2Mg Tablet is of anti-diabetic nature. It belongs to the meglitinides class of medicine. The drug is taken orally, along with a medically prescribed diet, exercise and significant change in lifestyle to obtain maximum benefits. It is important to abstain from smoking, and alcohol intake during and after the treatment period. Stress must also be controlled as it affects the blood sugar levels greatly. The drug is administered to control the sugar level in the blood, for the treatment of Type 2 Diabetes mellitus. It stimulates the body to produce more insulin that can help to bring lower and normalise the level of glucose in the body. This way, the medication also lowers the risk of kidney failure and cardiovascular diseases. The drug, however cannot be used for patients having Type 1 Diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. It is also not recommended for patients who are hypersensitive or allergic to any of the ingredients in the medicine.

There can be some adverse side effects that arise from the use of the medicine. In case of persisting symptoms and increasing discomfort, it is best to consult a medical expert immediately. Some of the effects include, blurred vision, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, respiratory infection, sinusitis, rhinitis, constipation, muscular or joint pain and swelling.

    • Is It safe with alcohol?

      Taking repaglinide with alcohol may affect blood glucose levels in patients with diabetes.
      Taking metformin with alcohol can cause lactic acidosis and you may experience malaise, respiratory distress, slow or irregular heartbeat, sleepiness, stomach upset, or other unusual symptoms.

    • Are there any pregnancy warnings?

      Eurepa mf 2 tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
      Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

    • Are there any breast-feeding warnings?

      Eurepa mf 2 tablet is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Please consult your doctor.
