About Pacinac NP 250mg/10mg Tablet
Pacinac NP 250mg/10mg Tablet is a combination medication, primarily prescribed for the treatment and prevention of migraine attacks. This medication is comprized of two drugs, Naproxen and Domperidone, which belongs to the class of a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and dopamine antagonists, respectively.
On using this medicine some serious side effects may occur that include easy bruising or bleeding, painful swallowing, ringing in the ears, signs of kidney problems, mood changes, unusual tiredness, swelling of the ankles, feet and hands, unexplained stiff neck, unexplained weight gain and vision changes.
To ensure this medicine is safe for you tell your doctor if you have asthma, blood disorders, nasal polyps, liver disease, heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure or throat, stomach or intestinal problems.
Take this medicine by mouth as instructed by your doctor, usually 2 or 3 times in a day. Remember to not lie down for a minimum of 10 minutes after taking it. To prevent stomach upset, take this drug with milk, food or an antacid.
To reduce your risk of side effects, start the medication at the lowest effective dose for a short period of time. Take a higher dosage if needed, after consulting with a doctor.

How does this medication work?
This medication is a combination of Naproxen and Domperidone. This medicine is prescribed for the treatment of migraine attacks. As both the drugs belong to two different classes, namely, NSAIDs (Non-Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drug) and Dopamine antagonist, respectively, thus it works via dual mechanism
Firstly it inhibits prostaglandin synthesis by non selectively impeding the COX -1 and COX -2 enzymes. This helps in alleviating inflammation, as prostaglandin is a regulator for inflammation in muscles. Secondly, it gets attached to the dopaminergic receptors without causing any release of the chemical dopamine. This, in turn, eases gastric emptying and abate small bowel transit time.
