Pan-D Capsule Sr
About Pan-D Capsule Sr
Pan-D Capsule Sr is a combination of two drugs, one of which fall under the category of Dopamine antagonist and other one is a Proton pump inhibitor. Its active ingredients include Pantoprazole Sodium Sesquihydrate and Domperidone. These pills are known for reducing the amount of acid in the stomach.
Pan D Capsule is mainly used to treat a variety of conditions like gastric ulcer, ulcers in the small intestine, heartburn, gas, idiopathic gastroparesis, diabetic gastroparesis, belching, fullness of stomach, intractable nausea and vomiting, gas, gastrin-secreting tumours, oesophageal mucosal injuries, and more.
Pan-D Capsule Sr blocks the dopamine receptors in the gastrointestinal tract, which is why it can be effective for reducing stomach acid. Pan D is an effective medication for the prevention of Nausea. This is because it works by loosening the lower muscles near the exit of your Gastrointestinal Tract.
It also tightens the muscles at the beginning of the tract. As a result, food passes through very quickly and you do not experience Nausea and Vomiting. Most commonly, doctors prescribe a 10 mg dose of it. However, these medicines are available in higher doses too, such as 30 mg and 40 mg.
Doctors calculate the right dose for you on the basis of your body weight and other health concerns. This is why you should not self-medicate and increase the dose if you think your current dose is not helping you.
Always speak to a doctor before making any changes in your medication. You should take this capsule at least 30 minutes before you eat something, on an empty stomach. This medication is meant to be taken once a day. However, some patients are required to take it with greater frequency due to their health.
