About Pasetron 0.25mg/5ml Injection

Pasetron 0.25mg/5ml Injection is a 5-HT3 antagonist. It is given post-cancer surgery to prevent feelings of vomiting and nausea caused by chemotherapy. It functions by prohibiting the action of serotonin in parts of the brain and the nervous system.

On using Pasetron 0.25mg/5ml Injection you may experience side effects such as headache, problems with bowel movement, chills, decreased urge to urinate, acidity, drowsiness, drying of the mouth, cough, bloating, bloody or black stools, eye irritation, feelings of discomfort, joint pain, muscle pain, skin rash, eye soreness, fatigue and rapid weight loss. Should the reactions persist or should any adverse reactions show consult your doctor.

Before using this medication tell your doctor if: you are allergic to any ingredient contained within Pasetron 0.25mg/5ml Injection, you have any other allergies, you have a history of heart disorders, you are taking apomorphine or any other medication, you are pregnant or are breastfeeding a baby.

The dosage for Pasetron 0.25mg/5ml Injection is determined by the doctor based on your condition and medical history. However, the usual dose in adults is about 0.5 mg taken orally (capsule) an hour before chemotherapy or 0.25 mg by IV infusion given as a single dose half an hour before chemotherapy.
