About Perinorm - Cd 15Mg Capsule

This medication is used in the treatment of stomach and intestinal disorders. It increases the muscle contractions of the upper digestive tract. Also, it provides relief in cases of heartburn and gastrointestinal disorders. It prevents feelings of nausea and the tendency to vomit caused after chemotherapy and radiation therapy. This medication falls under the category of drugs known as dopamine-receptor antagonists.

The associated side-effects that come with the use of this medication are headache, dizziness, sleeping troubles, drowsiness and restlessness. Major side effects include

  • Depression
  • Uncontrollable body movements
  • High fever
  • Shakiness
  • Skin rash
  • Hives
  • Rapid and irregular heartbeat
  • Stiff muscles

Ideally, the dosage for you will be prescribed by the doctor taking into consideration your specifications. Usually, the dosage prescribed is four times a day which needs to be taken before each meal and at night before sleeping.

    This medication is an antiemetic that works by inhibiting gastric smooth muscle relaxation caused by dopamine. It improves the response of the gastrointestinal smooth muscles to cholinergic stimulation, which leads to an increase of gastric emptying into the intestines. This medication antagonizes the dopamine D2 receptors in the medulla which prevents nausea and vomiting.
