How does this medication work?
Pilorute ointment is a local anesthetic that works by stabilizing the neuronal membrane by blocking the voltage-gated sodium channels. It inhibits depolarization of the postsynaptic nerve that prevents the transmission of pain signals. This ointment betters the function of the capillaries by lowering the abnormal leakage. Troxerutin, another active constituent of the medicament is used for hemorrhoids and in order to provide relief to the impairment of the capillary. Also, it works by narrowing the swelling of blood vessels of the affected area, thereby providing great relief from discomfort. And lastly acts as a corticosteroid used for reducing skin inflammation. Your body releases different chemicals in response to certain triggers. Thus works by stopping the infection-fighting white blood cells from reaching the part of your body which is prone to infections.
