About Piriton Cs 4 Mg/10 Mg Syrup

The active or main ingredients of Piriton Cs 4 Mg/10 Mg Syrup are Chlorpheniramine and Dextromethorphan. The salt Chlorpheniramine is used for 4 MG dosage and Dextromethorphan is used for 10 MG dosage. This medicine is basically an antihistamine which is used to block the action of histamine in the body. This colourless syrup serves well as a temporary relief from common colds, dry cough, throat irritation, sneezing, running nose, hay fever, itchy skin or nose, flu, allergy, watery eyes and other conditions.

Piriton Cs 4 Mg/10 Mg Syrup is taken orally as and when directed by the physician. It is best taken after food as otherwise, it may cause stomach problems. It should not be overtaken and is strictly not recommended for newborns or those below 1 year. Usually, for adults and teenagers, this medicine can be taken every four to six hours with a maximum dose of 60 ml in a day. For elderly people and kids or toddlers, this medicine is better with lessened usage, from 5ml to a maximum of 30ml per day.
