About Pradil 150mg Tablet

Pradil 150mg Tablet is an antiarrhythmic agent used to treat life-threatening ventricular arrhythmias, such as ventricular tachycardia. This medication is excreted in breast-milk, therefore, you should not use this drug or stop breastfeeding a child.

Side effects include anxiety, hypersensitivity, decreased appetite, sleep disorders, headache, convulsions, vertigo, hypotension, flatulence, hepatitis, jaundice, etc.

The initial dose is 150 mg every 8 hours of immediate release tablets. But this dose may be increased at 3 to 4 day intervals to 225 mg every 8 hours and, if needed, to 300 mg every 8 hours.

Before using this medication tell your doctor about your medical history. This drug may cause conditions that affects the heart rhythm (QT prolongation). QT prolongation can rarely cause serious (rarely fatal) fast/irregular heartbeat and other symptoms (such as severe dizziness, fainting) that need medical attention right away.

Many drugs besides propafenone may affect the heart rhythm (QT prolongation), including amiodarone, dofetilide, flecainide, pimozide, procainamide, quinidine, sotalol, macrolide antibiotics, and certain quinolone antibiotics (such as sparfloxacin), among others.
