About Prib 2.5Mg Tablet
Prib 2.5Mg Tablet is used to prevent the occurrence of malaria caused by mosquito bites. Being an aminoquinoline, it works by stopping the formation of the blood forms of the parasite that may cause a relapse of malaria. It is used after other medicines have already killed the parasites off in the red blood cells. It kills them in other body tissues.
If you have granulocytopenia, lupus, or rheumatoid arthritis, then Prib 2.5Mg Tablet should not be prescribed. Alert your doctor if you suffer from low magnesium and potassium levels in your body. Taking quinacrine alongside Prib 2.5Mg Tablet may increase the risk of its side effects.
Prib 2.5Mg Tablet is to be taken orally, with or without food as instructed. If you miss a dosage and it is almost time for the next one, skip it; never have 2 dosages in a day. Do not change or purposely skip the dosage, for it will help the parasite to multiply and make the infection resistant.
Some of the possible side effects include nausea, stomach cramps, vomiting and an upset stomach. If you have signs of red blood cell loss such as brown urine, pale skin, consult a doctor right away.
